Forms for Direct Entry (DE) programs, run by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), are now available for purchase across the country and at a few international centers.

Fabian Benjamin, a spokesman for the board, made this announcement on Tuesday.
According to him, international students interested in attending Nigerian universities through the Direct Entry program are welcome to purchase the tickets.

All candidates, regardless of position, will be treated equally by the Board, he said.
For the 2023 admissions cycle, the Board will not consider applications from awarding institutions that have repeatedly declined to verify the A-levels submitted by a small number of applicants.

If a candidate is not waiting for their results, they should have uploaded their A-levels, O-levels, and DE registration form when they registered. The Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform does not allow DE candidates to be processed for admission until the awarding institutions have uploaded and verified these claimed results.

When they registered, DE applicants who were still waiting for their A Level results from IJMB, JUPEB, or NABTEB were required to upload their admission letter and registration form. He further stated that applicants in possession of Cambridge certificates from test years prior to 2018 should go to Cambridge’s official website to get them verified.

Additionally, the Board extended a grace period during which candidates might switch from UTME to DE if their DE results had not been revealed when they registered for UTME and they had stated that they were waiting for their A-level results.

Wednesday, February 28, 2024, is when registration will begin, and Thursday, March 28, 2024, is when it will end.
