FIFA will award Manchester City the biggest incentive for releasing players for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Man City will get $4,596,445 from FIFA’s Club Benefits Programme, according to a report published on Thursday.
Barcelona will receive the second-largest sum of $4,538,955, followed by Bayern Munich, which will receive $4,331,809.
Qatar’s Al Sadd SC received $2,817,911 as the highest-earning club outside of Europe.
In this regard, FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated in the report’s prologue, “The FIFA Club Benefits Programme recognizes the contribution that clubs make to the success of the FIFA World Cup.”
FIFA will award $209 million to clubs whose players competed in the 2022 World Cup.
For the 2026 and 2030 tournaments, the world’s football governing body intends to boost the sum dispersed to clubs to $355 million.
