Durham University is giving the Hatfield Lioness Masters Scholarship to a female student from a poor country who wishes to pursue a degree program at the university.

The scholarship was established in 2018 as part of the 30th anniversary of women students at Hatfield College, Durham University, and is supported by alumni, friends of the College, and other sources that support the award’s goals.

Hatfield College intends to award the Lioness Scholarship to an individual who possesses the academic and personal qualities necessary to complete and benefit from a course, as well as who will act as a positive ambassador for their home country in Durham, putting their enhanced knowledge and skills to use.

When they return home, they will be able to put what they learned and experienced at Durham to good use for the benefit of their society.

The Hatfield Lioness Masters Scholarship requires applicants to have applied for and been given an unconditional place on their chosen master’s degree by June 2023.
Female applicants are required.

Candidates must not be receiving any other scholarship to help pay their postgraduate study.

Candidates must have a relevant honours degree of sufficient grade to be admitted to your preferred Master’s course, as well as all other course admission requirements, including the required English language qualification.
Developing countries are eligible.

Hatfield Lioness Scholarship Value: The scholarship will cover:

Tuition fees at the university have been paid in full.

Living expenditures stipend – 12 monthly payments
One return economy air ticket from home to the UK, as well as the cost of return travel from the UK airport to Durham City Hatfield College provides fully subsidized, self-catered, mixed accommodation with a’settling in allowance’ upon arrival.
The cost of a UK visa as well as the UK Health Surcharge
