The Canadian government has just unveiled a new path to permanent residency for over 90,000 important temporary employees and overseas graduates. International graduates and essential workers from all around the world are encouraged to apply.

This announcement is expected to contribute to the achievement of the 2021 Immigration Levels Strategy, which would see Canada welcome 401,000 new permanent residents. Our plan’s talented entrants and overseas graduates will assist create jobs and support long-term growth in Canada.

Eligibility
Workers must have at least one year of Canadian work experience in a health-care profession or another pre-approved essential occupation to be eligible.
International grads must have completed an appropriate post-secondary program in Canada.

Permanent Residency Program in Canada | Application Streams
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will begin accepting applications under the following three streams on May 6, 2021:

20,000 applications for temporary health care employees
30,000 temporary worker applications in other critical occupations

40,000 applications for international students who have completed their studies at a Canadian institution
The application deadline is: The streams will remain open until November 5, 2021, or until their capacity is reached. These three streams will admit up to 90,000 additional permanent residents.
