The record-tying sixth Women’s Player of the Year was also achieved by her compatriot, Asisat Oshoala.
Before Thembi Klagtlana of South Africa and Barbara Banda of Zambia, Oshoala emerged victorious.
Chiamaka Nnadozie, who played with Oshoala for the Super Falcons, was named the best female goalkeeper in the league.
It was the Super Falcons that took home the hardware as the nation’s best team.
