West Ham want to sign Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have emerged as Erik ten Hag’s first-choice center-backs, leaving the 30-year-old England defender with an uncertain future at Old Trafford.
United must also trade players in order to improve Ten Hag’s prospects of remaking his squad during the current transfer window as he pursues Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Maguire’s contract is set to expire in 2025.
