The Reds’ 4-0 Europa League victory over LASK on Thursday was accompanied by comments from Joe Cole, a former Chelsea player, who said that Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones had “stepped up” for Liverpool.

Cole claims that following Jurgen Klopp’s summer trades, Elliott and Jones are stepping up their game.

You may remember that Liverpool lost some key players, like Fabinho, James Milner, and Jordan Henderson.

Cole has faith in Elliott and Jones’ ability to lead Liverpool in their absence.

One thing Jurgen Klopp appears to do is buy players when they are on the rise,” Cole stated while appearing on TNT Sports.

Players who are prepared and whose contributions are predictable are not being considered by him.

The addition of Darwin Nunez might have been considered a risk. Players with the correct mentality seem to be his specialty.

In all of their endeavors, both on and off the field, Mohamed Salah stands out as the undisputed leader, symbol, and protagonist.

Everyone else on the squad, though, works tirelessly. Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott are making progress.

The impact they’re making on this squad is going unnoticed, in my opinion. Outsiders don’t, but those in and around them do.
