The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has revealed the cause for the June monthly stipend payment delay to corps members across the country.

Allowance: Stay Calm; We’re Working On It, Says NYSC to Corps Members

This was stated in a press statement released by Eddy Megwa fnipr, the scheme’s Director of Press and Public Relations, and acquired by mismob Correspondent on Sunday in Abuja.

The communiqué states, “The Management of National Youth Service Corps wishes to state that it is aware of Corps Members’ concerns and agitation regarding the delay in payment of their June 2023 monthly allowance.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Scheme completed all arrangements for the payment of Corps Members’ allowance on June 27, 2023, with remittances made to various banks on the same day.

” The current delay is due to the administration of funds by several banks, which have yet to credit Corps Members’ accounts.

“In accordance with the foregoing, NYSC Management is diligently working with banks to expedite the payment of Corps Members’ June allowance without further delay.”

“All Corps Members are urged to remain calm, law-abiding, and dutiful in their respective places of national service, as the Scheme will continue to prioritize issues concerning their welfare.”
