For deleting a tweet in which he referred to Bola Ahmed Tinubu as “Mr. President,” Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has been criticized by Bashir Ahmad, who served as the Special Assistant on Digital Communications for former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ahmad thinks poorly of Obi’s behavior since he has lost all ability to moderate his thoughts and feelings.

Obi, who is contesting Tinubu’s designation as president, reportedly criticized the president’s 120-car motorcade upon his return from France.

Tweets from Obi read, “Allegedly showing Mr. President moving with about a 120-car convoy.” While I haven’t seen the film in question, my advice remains the same: “Leaders at all levels of government in Nigeria need to be the first to make sacrifices for a better Nigeria.”

But then he erased it and replaced it with one that said “a trending motorcade video” instead of “a 120-car convoy of Mr. President.”

Bashir remarked, in a condemnation of his behavior, “That was so low. Peter, the previous Labour Party presidential candidate, is a sad case; he seems to have lost all sense of self-awareness and self-control.

For example: “How can you delete a well-composed tweet calling your president Mr. President just because some people claiming to be your supporters bullied and dragged you?”
