A woman carrying another person’s kid is a “deplorable” practice, according to Pope Francis, who has demanded a worldwide ban on surrogacy.

By calling surrogacy a “grave violation of the dignity of the woman and the child,” the Catholic pope made this point clear in his New Year’s address to ambassadors at the Vatican.

The speaker emphasized the importance of respecting life as a means to achieve world peace and emphasized the need to put a stop to hostilities worldwide.

Regarding this matter, I find the practice of so-called surrogate motherhood to be deeply disturbing. It violates the dignity of both the mother and the child, as it takes advantage of practical concerns related to the mother’s material requirements.

No business deal should ever be based on the ownership of a child; children are gifts forever.

As a result, the Pope hoped that the world community would work to ban the practice globally.
