Mauricio Pochettino, the new coach of Chelsea Football Club, has arrived on his first day of work at the club’s training base in Cobham.
The Argentine took over as Chelsea manager at the end of the 2022/23 season, which ended in tragedy for the Blues across all competitions.
Mauricio Pochettino will begin full-time work at Chelsea as he awaits the arrival of his players before departing for pre-season games in the United States before the start of the 2023/24 season.
Poch will be the new owners’ second full-time manager recruited since the new board took over in June 2022. He was granted two years less than Graham Potter, who was hired for five years but only lasted eight months.
Chelsea supporters will expect him to bring his Premier League experience from his time as Tottenham’s coach. He was fired in 2020, just a few months after leading them to the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool in 2019.
Jesus Perez, who worked with him at Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain, will also join as an assistant coach.
