Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been advised that his budget for the summer transfer window is £120 million.
However, the former Ajax manager can boost his bank account by selling players.

United expects to earn up to £640 million in income this year, which would be a record for any Premier League team.

This has been boosted by 2.4 million season ticket sales and record match-day earnings for the 2022/2023 season.

If a sum can be agreed upon, some of that money will go towards a deal for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

Chelsea and United officials are scheduled to meet again at the end of the week after the Red Devils made a “final” bid of £55 million for the player, who has one year left on his contract.

But all of this is happening against a backdrop of uncertainty and discontent around the Glazer family, who are considering selling but are delaying due to competing proposals from Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos firm and Qatari financier Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani.
