Football has “no patience,” and Chelsea must “deliver from day one,” according to incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The former Tottenham manager, 51, has signed a two-year contract with the possibility of a third.

Chelsea had a disastrous 2022-23 season, finishing 12th in the league with three managers.

“From now on, it’s about delivering,” Pochettino stated at his unveiling. “We can’t tell people it’ll take six months to make something.”

At his first press conference at Stamford Bridge, he said:

“I had a great conversation with the proprietors. They are intelligent people, and I am pleased. I am not a coach who requires authority.

“The most important thing I need to show them is that they can trust me and that the players and fans can trust my decisions and the way we operate.”
