On Sunday night at the BayArena, Victor Boniface scored the game-winning goal for Bayer Leverkusen as they held Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw.
In the fifth minute, Borussia Dortmund took the lead thanks to Julian Ryerson.
But 11 minutes before the end, Boniface leveled the score for the home team.
This was the seventh league goal scored by the Nigerian international this season.
The entire game was dominated by the 22-year-old.
Nathan Tella, a fellow countryman, was benched for Leverkusen’s game.
With 35 points after 13 games, Leverkusen is atop the Bundesliga rankings. They have yet to lose this season.
