Dr. Betta Edu, who is currently serving as the suspended minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation, has been to the EFCC headquarters to face questioning for her alleged role in a fraud involving N585 million.

As previously reported by MISMOB, President Bola Tinubu suspended Edu on Monday.

Allegations surfaced that the minister diverted funds from the humanitarian fund to his own bank account.

Grants to vulnerable groups in the states of Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Lagos were to be paid out with the sum of N585 million.

After the swearing-in of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) members in August of last year, Edu becomes the first minister to be removed from office.
