AC Milan picked the 24-year-old as the man to help bolster their attack’s right flank.
According to Milan Eye, the Rooseneri made an opening proposal for the Nigerian in the area of €35 million.
Chukwueze’s contract reportedly has a €65 million release clause.
It’s unclear whether Villarreal will lower their asking price.
The 24-year-old has one year left on his contract and refuses to stay at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
AC Milan’s offer has yet to be accepted by Villarreal.
