According to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, former Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has received an extremely rich contract offer from a Saudi Arabian team.
Buffon is the latest household figure to be offered a lucrative deal earning roughly €30 million net every season by Saudi Arabia.
Buffon is still playing in Serie B after returning to Parma in the summer of 2021.
Last season, the 45-year-old made 19 appearances for the club across all competitions.
The Italian icon, who won the World Cup with Italy in 2006, is under contract with Parma for another year and could stay.
Buffon’s other options, though, are to retire from professional football or to accept the Saudi Arabia offer.
