From March 6, Yonsei GSIS will accept applications for the 2023 Yonsei GSIS – NIIED Global Korea Scholarship Program. The University Track guidelines are now accessible. Candidates to the Diplomatic Track should follow the instructions provided by their respective embassies.
The Yonsei GSIS – NIIED Global Korea International Scholarship Program provides students with an excellent opportunity to study in South Korea, one of the world’s most technologically advanced and developed countries.
Yonsei GSIS, Republic of Korea, is the scholarship sponsor.
Yonsei University, Republic of Korea, is the host institution.
The scholarship is fully funded.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE GLOBAL KOREAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Students can concentrate on their studies because the scholarship program covers all expenses, including travel, a monthly stipend, medical insurance, language training fees, tuition, and research assistance fees.
Conditions for Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Yonsei GSIS – NIIED Global Korea Scholarship Program:
Both the applicant and their parents are not Korean nationals.
By the application deadline, ethnic Koreans holding foreign citizenship must provide documentation establishing the renunciation of Korean citizenship for themselves and their parents, as well as documents proving the acquisition of nationality for themselves and their parents.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (or higher) from an approved institution.
University or college.
A master’s degree or its equivalent (or higher) degree from an approved college or university is required for admission to the PhD program.

Applicants must:
Examine the Yonsei GSIS application documents and information stated in the “Yonsei GSIS-GKS Guideline 2023.” Yonsei GSIS requires additional documentation to be presented.
All required documentation must be received at the Yonsei GSIS office by March 17, 2023, at 5:00 PM KST. Applications that are late or incomplete will be rejected.
All documentation must be written in either English or Korean. Notarized translations must be produced if the original documents are not in English or Korean.
