Israel has agreed to adopt daily four-hour pauses in hostilities in the northern Gaza strip, the White House has said, less than a month after the start of a fierce confrontation between the Israeli military and Hamas terrorists.

John Kirby, spokesman for the White House National Security Council, announced three hours earlier that an announcement would be made.

He said: “We’ve been told by the Israelis that there will be no military operations in these areas throughout the pause and that this process is starting today.”

According to MISMOB reporting, on October 7, 2023, Israel and Palestinian terrorists led by Hamas in the Gaza Strip engaged in an escalating armed war as the latter launched a multi-pronged invasion of Southern Israel.

Since October 7, the conflict in the Gaza Strip has reportedly killed at least 10,812 Palestinians.
