The 18th National Council on Transportation will be held from Tuesday, 13 February, to Friday, 16 February, 2024, at the Ogun State Government.

Participants in the conference, which will be presided over by Governor Dapo Abiodun, will include transportation commissioners from 36 states and the FCT, together with their respective permanent secretaries, transport secretaries, the director of planning, research, and statistics, and other interested parties.

Senator Saidu Alkali, the Minister of Transportation, is the esteemed guest of honor.

Addressing the Energy Challenges Through Embracing Innovations and Technologies for Sustainable Transportation is the theme for this year’s event.

The initiative provides an opportunity to promote progress in the Nigerian transportation system, according to a statement made at the weekend by Engr. Olugbenga Dairo, the Commissioner for Transportation in the state of Ogun.

An annual national event, the National Council on Transportation aims to improve Nigeria’s transportation infrastructure.

This year’s National Council on Transportation, the 18th Edition, will be held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto Abeokuta, from Tuesday, February 13, to Friday, February 16, 2024. The governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has graciously accepted to host the event, continuing his relentless efforts to make the state a national leader in transportation innovation.

Dairo announced that the state would host a gathering of transportation professionals, including federal and state transportation ministries as well as agencies within the transportation sector. The purpose of the gathering is to address current transportation issues, share technological innovations, and ultimately formulate and implement policies and common solutions.
