Governor Ademola Adeleke has been accused of lying about his whereabouts by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State.
The APC has criticized Governor Adeleke’s spokeswoman, Olawale Rasheed, for saying that he will be traveling to Europe and Asia for business.
The governor of the state, Olawale Rasheed, said in a statement that Adeleke had begun a working holiday to Europe and Asia.
Through the statement, Rasheed further said that Governor Adeleke was traveling to finalize cooperation accords with investors and development partners.
However, the Osun APC, in a statement signed by the Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal on Sunday, stated that Governor Adeleke has been holidaying in the United States of America in the last two weeks.
The statement from the governor’s office on the alleged trip was described as “full of contradictions” and “crime scene taped” to conceal facts, according to the report.
Lawal further claimed that, after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) suffered a devastating loss in Kogi State, Adeleke fled the country.
Of course, this is just the beginning of the groundwork that will be laid for Governor Adeleke’s absence from tomorrow’s party commemorating his first year in office.
“It has been heard from credible sources that tomorrow, in the governor’s absence, a prerecorded message will be broadcast for the people of the state.
“No one can begrudge another for getting sick or feeling under the weather, for such things are beyond the control of any human being except God Almighty; nonetheless, it beholds on those who are holding the people’s mandate in trust to always tell the truth and stand by the truth.
It is well knowledge that Governor Adeleke has fled the state, preventing him from being held accountable by the people of the state for his administration’s actions.
“Since November 2022, when he came on board, Governor Adeleke has ran the state aground with his pure incompetence, lack of adequate education and his zero administrative aptitude.
He’s too embarrassed to tell the people of Osun how he wasted more than N130 billion in tax money over the course of a year.
While the parents of UNIOSUN students are suffering to pay the increased school fees his government made them to pay, he is reluctant to tell them how he has allocated almost N10 billion in the supplementary budget for his meals, entertainment, and office use.
“Governor Adeleke is embarrassed to tell the people of Osun that a year has passed and his promise to turn Osun into another Dubai was nothing more than a fluke.”
While Adeleke earned N9 billion from the Federal Government, his demonic government promptly stole it, leaving the people of Osun in dire straits as a result of the elimination of the gasoline subsidy.
Adeleke is “putting Osun money in unsustainable diesel-propelled vehicles purchased over a decade ago” because “he is afraid to face the anger of Osun people” because “a serious state like Ogun is investing in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, which is capable of making the cost of transportation cheaper.”
The Osun APC also made the assertion that Adeleke would be setting a dangerous precedent if he didn’t show up to Monday’s celebration of the one anniversary of his administration.
