The world now knows the Super Eagles’ preliminary roster for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Jose Peseiro, the head coach, reportedly put 40 players on the reserve roster, as reported by ACL Sports.

Stanley Nwabili, Christian Nwoke, and Alhassan Yusuf are all new goalkeepers on the roster.

The deadline for Peseiro to narrow the field to 27 players is January 3, 2024.

Group A includes Guinea-Bissau, hosts Cote d’Ivoire, and Equatorial Guinea, where the Super Eagles will be competing.

On January 14, at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, the defending champions will face off against Equatorial Guinea.
