Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (rtd. ), the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Bauchi State, has claimed that three of his security detail members had been shot.
He claimed they were shot during a recent violent incident in the state’s Duguri, Alkaleri Local Government Area (LGA).

Sadique told journalists on Friday that his troops were successful in obtaining two firearms from the thugs who carried out the attack.

He also expressed alarm about the likelihood of thugs being employed on election day, claiming that the APC will not be frightened.

The former Chief of Air Staff challenged Governor Bala Mohammed to focus on governance concerns in the government.

On Wednesday, one individual, Danlami Shata, was killed in a conflict between members of the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State’s Alkaleri Local Government Area.

The tragedy occurred in Duguri, the governor’s hometown.

Sadiq Abubakar, the APC gubernatorial candidate, and Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, led the APC campaign in the town.

The PDP denied that its supporters obstructing APC supporters’ movement caused the incident.

Yahya Zainabari, the state PDP spokesperson, stated that the intervention of the Inspector General of Police would ensure that law and order were respected in the state throughout campaigns.
