Thirteen individuals have been taken into custody by the Gombe State Police Command on charges ranging from petty theft to aggravated assault.

This information was shared on Wednesday by ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, who is the police public relations officer.

According to Abubakar, two individuals were apprehended by the police after they were discovered in possession of a shotgun that was built in the area.

The weapon was given to the brother of one of the suspects, who admitted to buying it for 15,000 naira.

The brother in question is currently the subject of an investigation after being apprehended by the police.

According to the PPRO, the case will be brought to court once the police have finished their investigations.

Separately, seven people were apprehended as a consequence of a joint operation by Police Operatives from the Kaltungo Division and the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB).

Patrol Officer Paul Nuhu Pama of the Kaltungo Divisional Police Office led the raid that resulted in the arrest of the accused.

Surveillance raided a criminal hideout in Kaltungo Local Government Area on Sunday, December 3, 2023, and the following individuals were apprehended: Ibrahim Usman (19), Usman Mohd Biliyaminu (18), Mohammed Suleiman (21), Sani Mohammed (20), Hamman Haruna (19), Imrana Hassan (18), and Abdullahi Idris (17).

Nineteen blocks of what appear to be Indian hemp leaves, forty sachets of tramadol pills, two hundred and forty sachets of what appear to be Indian hemp leaves, a face cap, shorts, and trousers made of military camouflage were among the items found during the raid. All in all, there is one AK-47 shell adorned with charms, two cutlasses, a stick, a dagger, two swords, two calabashes, two knives, an axe, a roll of copper wire, five exzol tablet sachets, and two female wrappers (Turmin Zani).

One charm vest, various charms, five hundred and eighty-two exzol tablets, two cutlasses, and one hundred and ten yellow (D-5) tablets are among the other items on display.

Possession of dried leaves thought to be Indian hemp, impersonation, and criminal conspiracy are among the charges against the individuals.
