Mauricio Pochettino, the new manager of Chelsea, has only one week to sell four players.
According to the UK Telegraph, this is to avoid a potentially embarrassing start to his tenure as president.

The Blues will begin preseason practice the following Wednesday.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Kai Havertz, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all left Stamford Bridge permanently.

Mason Mount has already announced his departure and will join Manchester United this week.

Four other players want to depart as well.

Pochettino only “wants to work with players who want to be at the club,” which means they have only one week until pre-season begins.

Romelu Lukaku wants to return to Inter Milan after spending the previous season on loan there.

Saudi Arabia is also interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Hakim Ziyech’s deal to Al-Nassr has stagnated.

Christian Pulisic is another player interested in leaving Chelsea, with AC Milan and Lyon also interested.
