Casemiro, a Manchester United midfielder, has praised Lionel Messi, calling the Argentine as a “very competitive player.”
Casemiro praised Messi, saying that everybody who loves football will like the former Barcelona star.
Messi, 36, and Casemiro, 31, battled for six years as Barcelona and Real Madrid players, respectively.
It is unusual for Real Madrid players to praise those from Barcelona.
Casemiro, on the other hand, argued that if you love football, you should root for the winner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
He told Albiceleste Talk’s Luiz Castro,
“Messi defined an era in which he was constantly competitive with Barcelona and Argentina, and there was no way out.”
“Anyone who enjoys football will enjoy Messi.” It was a pleasure to compete with him.
“He is someone who requires no comment and can only be admired.”
