Reno Omokri, a political activist, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is assured in light of the recent ouster of Abba Yusuf as governor of Kano State.

A ruling by the Appeal Court found that Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf was not a member of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) at the time the elections were held, as reported by DAILY POST earlier on Friday.

The NNPP’s Yusuf was elected, but the court sided with the governorship election tribunal, which found that he lacked the necessary qualifications to serve as governor.

More than that, the judges wrote that the panel erred in not disqualifying the appellant, Governor Yusuf.

Omokri stated, “The dismissal of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano by the Court of Appeals has made Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 more certain.

“Why? Kano has the most voters of any state and is expected to cast at least two million ballots for president in 2027. Unfortunately, such votes usually go in the direction chosen by the governor.

Waziri Atiku has proposed that the NNPP and the Labour Party unite with the PDP, and if the parties know what’s good for them, they’ll take his advice. Because if they don’t join forces, Tinubu will rise again. It is only common sense. Despite the fact that common sense is rare in Nigerian politics!
