The Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra has an acting rector, Mr. Uche Onyegbu, appointed by the federal government.
Mr. Omotayo Adeyemi, Director of Human Resources Management at the Federal Ministry of Education, made this known on Saturday in a letter.
Dr. Franca Nwafulugo’s term as Rector ended on February 2, and his appointment follows immediately after.
Before moving into teaching, Onyegbu spent 17 years as the secretary to four consecutive rectors, an experience that has earned him recognition for his work in both administration and academia.
He has a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Master of Public Administration degree, and he is almost finished with his doctoral studies.
He is a member of several organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Professional Secretaries of Nigeria (FPSN), and the Nigerian Institute of Public Administrators (FNIPA).
