From Thursday through Saturday, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency NiMET predicts haze and thunderstorms nationwide.

Thursday will have moderate dust haze with visibility of 2–5 km, according to Wednesday’s weather forecast from Abuja.

Throughout the anticipated three days, it predicted that visibility in the northern parts would be less than 1 km.

Additionally, the agency warned that portions of Kogi, Benue, and Kwara would experience cloud patches and a minor dust haze over the North Central region.

The weather forecast was for partly cloudy skies with isolated sunny patches across states in the interior.

Some areas in Ondo, Osun, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Lagos, and Ogun may experience isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, according to the weather agency.

“The northern parts are anticipated to experience thick dust haze on Friday,” NiMET added.

There will be dust in the air, therefore it said to use a face mask if you could.

The statement emphasized that airline operators should use NiMet’s up-to-date weather data and predictions to effectively plan their operations.
