The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in Adamawa State has issued a warning about the fraudulent actions of a person posing as the state secretary of the organization, one Faiza Muhammad.
The leadership of the group claimed on Tuesday that Faiza Muhammad is not even a journalist, let alone a member or executive of NAWOJ.
However, she allegedly used her position as ‘NAWOJ secretary’ to con people in Adamawa State.
The NAWOJ’s chairwoman, Mrs. Rose Elishama, and secretary, Mrs. Gloria Abutu, issued a joint statement denying that a woman named Faiza Muhammad is a member of the organization.
As a result, the public should be wary of any requests or contacts that appear to come from NAWOJ Adamawa State Secretary Faiza Muhammad.
