The hopes of Nyesom Wike becoming the jagaban of Rivers State have been dashed, according to Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a former spokesperson for the now-defunct new Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP.

He claimed that Wike, as the former governor of the state, had lost all political clout in Rivers State and Nigeria generally.

He asserted that everyone was now aware of Wike’s background and warned that anyone who chose to collaborate with him would be doing it at their own risk.

“Rivers can never be Lagos,” he told the former governor, adding that his recent acts put an end to his ambition to become the landlord of Rivers State.

To appease Wike’s ego, President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria, a self-proclaimed democrat, has abandoned the Nigerian constitution and the decent people of Rivers State, according to a statement released by Eze on Tuesday.

Given President Tinubu’s impeccable record, it’s hard to believe that he was complicit in the disingenuous activities taken by Governor Fubara and Nyesom Wike during the phony Rivers State Peace Accord.

In order to understand the president’s true intentions behind his misguided acts, he decided to review the so-called Peace Accord, he stated.

A member of Mr. President’s staff, according to Eze, “strategically plotted all this not that they do not know that no reasonable Governor will implement any of them but to rubbish Nyesom Wike in his own plot to become Tinubu of Rivers State.”

Regarding this matter, Eze praised President Tinubu for “achieving what many political leaders couldn’t achieve”—namely, freeing Rivers State from the scourge that is Nyesom Wike—by trashing Wike’s political fortunes.

It is widely known among Rivers State Elders, Youths, and the general population that President Tinubu’s truce is an attempt to gain control of Rivers State, and no matter what happens, the existing situation in the state will not be tolerated, according to Eze’s theory.

He continued by saying, “Wike is no longer relevant as far as the politics of Rivers State and Nigeria at large is concerned. Most of his antecedents are now well known to everyone. Whoever decides to work with such a character does so at their own peril.”

His aspiration to become the landlord and Jagaban of Rivers State comes to a close with this. There is no way that Rivers State can compete with Lagos.
