The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, has declared that God spoke through President Bola Tinubu when he said ’emi lokan,’ which means ‘it’s my turn,’ during the electioneering period.
This was stated by Oba Ogbagba II during Tinubu’s visit to the palace on Thursday.
He stated that there is nothing a human can do on their own unless God desires it.
“There is nothing one can do by themselves except what God wants for that person,” he stated.
“God spoke through you and said that it is your turn, and may it not lead to death.”
“Emi lo kan” is a Yoruba expression that means “It’s my turn.” It was initially said by the All Progressives Congress’s then-presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in Ogun State, in the run-up to the party’s primary election.
