49 universities in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are offering up to 200 scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year. The British Council GREAT Scholarships 2023-24 provide students from 14 countries with £10,000 towards tuition fees for a variety of one-year taught postgraduate courses.
The UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council, in collaboration with partner UK higher education institutions, finance each scholarship.

Eligibility for the British Council GREAT Scholarship 2023
Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the British Council GREAT Scholarship:
You must be a citizen of a qualifying country.
Hold a bachelor’s degree, be motivated, and be interested in the chosen topic area.
Satisfy the UK’s English language requirement HEI
Develop a personal and scholarly connection with the United Kingdom as a scholar.
Be willing to attend a networking event with all UK-based GREAT scholars in order to share experiences and record perceptions of studying in the UK.
Be willing to keep in touch with the British Council and their HEI and serve as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
As a GREAT Scholarships graduate, be available to chat with future candidates about your personal experience.
