Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in the just-concluded Kogi election, has stated categorically that he will not challenge the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) victory in the November 11 election due to his loss of faith in the judiciary.
The Judiciary, according to Melaye, who made the statement on Wednesday, is no longer the common Nigerians’ final resort.
According to Melaye, the judiciary is now a department under the All Progressives Congress and is no longer seen as the last chance of the regular people.
The APC has taken over the court system, so why should someone with a responsibility go there? My faith in the judicial system has completely evaporated.
You may remember that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Usman Ododo, of the APC, as the victor of the governorship election.
After challenging Melaye and Muri Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ododo was victorious.
