Former Tottenham manager Antonio Conte lectured Brazilian forward Richarlison for two hours, according to Richarlison.
The Brazilian said he was chastised in front of the Spurs players.
The player and his previous manager had a public spat, and the Brazilian attacker demanded more playing time.
The former Everton player was disciplined after being offered an interview regarding his lack of game time at the club, in which he acknowledged to making a mistake and telling Conte to punish him.
According to the Que Papinho podcast,
“I made a mistake by agreeing to an interview in which I requested greater playing time.
“I later apologized and told him he could punish me.”
“He responded that he was the boss and proceeded to prove it to me.” In a team meeting, he scolded me for nearly two hours in front of everyone.”
