Luis Enrique, the former manager of Spain and Barcelona, has been named head coach of Paris St-Germain.
The Spaniard, 53, takes over for Christophe Galtier, who was fired despite winning the Ligue 1 title in his first season in charge.

Luis Enrique has agreed to terms with the French champions on a two-year contract.

It is his first position since stepping down as Spain manager in December following a penalty shootout loss to Morocco in the World Cup’s last 16 in 2022.

His most recent club management position was with Barcelona, where he won nine titles in three seasons between 2014 and 2017, including the Champions League, La Liga, and Copa del Rey Treble in his first season.
