The FCT Police Command’s dedication to continuing the battle against criminality, especially kidnapping and other violent crimes, has been reaffirmed by the FCT Police Commissioner, Haruna Garba.
When members of the command’s anti-kidnapping unit and other security agencies worked together to free two hostages on Tuesday, Garba made the promise.
James Paul and one Austin Oba, both from Kobi Sarki Village in Abuja, were kidnapped on Monday, according to a statement released by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer.
Police officers responded quickly to the distress call, she said, and they tracked the offenders to their hideout, where they were able to successfully rescue the victims.
Following a medical expert’s confirmation that the casualties had stabilized, Adeh reported that they have been reunited with their families.
