The captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa, made his professional football debut in a 2-1 win over Arnavutkoy in the Turkish Cup for Sivasspor.
During the match at the New Sivas 4 Eylul Stadium, Musa got the opportunity to start, which is not often.
This was Servet Cetin’s side’s second start of the season for him.
Hakan Arslan put Sivasspor ahead with a penalty kick conversion in the 19th minute.
With five minutes remaining before halftime, Musa doubled Sivasspor’s lead.
In a 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir in February 2022, the 31-year-old scored his last goal for his previous club, Fatih Karagümrük.
The away team’s deficit was cut in half by Harun Ozcan.
