Cloudiness and haze are predicted across the country from Monday to Wednesday according to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet.
A moderate dust haze with a horizontal visibility range of 2km to 5km was anticipated for the northern and north central states in Sunday’s weather outlook provided in Abuja by NiMet.
The only states where cloud patches in a hazy sky are expected are Benue, Kogi, and Kwara. Throughout the duration of the prediction, the Inland of the South is anticipated to have cloud patches.
It warned that in the morning there will be clouds over the coast and that in the afternoon and evening there was a risk of isolated thunderstorms across sections of the states of Edo, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa.
Over the southern inland and the coast, a few clouds are predicted to appear in the morning.
“As the day progresses, certain areas in Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, Edo, Imo, Enugu, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa states may experience isolated thunderstorms,” the statement stated.
Wednesday, the northern region may experience a little dust haze, according to the agency.
Throughout much of the North Central area, patches of cloud will be visible in a hazy sky. However, isolated thunderstorms are likely later in the day over parts of Plateau, Kwara, Benue, and Kogi states.
NiMet predicts that in the morning, there will be clouds over the coast and the interior of the South, and there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
Later on in the day, this will be over portions of the following states: Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Edo, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Delta.
The organization warned those who have breathing problems to cover their faces whenever possible using face masks.
Be wary of the current weather conditions if you suffer from respiratory ailments. Nighttime warmth is especially important for children and the elderly.
The areas around your eyes, lips, and skin need extra care. Also, make sure to moisturize your lips and skin as much as you can.
