During Thursday’s launch of the 2023 Enrollment Drive and Back-to-School Campaign in collaboration with UNICEF Maiduguri Field Office, LG Education Secretary Mallam Hamisu Ado Nguru made the announcement.
He claims that Governor Mai Mala Buni’s office will do everything it takes to get all of the state’s truant kids back into the classroom.
In order to “intervene in the provision of necessary educational materials for the enhancement of academic activities in primary and secondary schools across the state,” Hamisu explained, “the current government in Yobe State has created the Education Trust Fund.”
The Secretary of Education expressed appreciation to USAID, UNICEF, and other development partners for their invaluable assistance to the region’s educational system.
“I want to assure them that we shall expand and deepen our collaboration with them for quality education in Nguru Local Government,” he said.
