Former President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed the reason for his departure from Daura, Katsina State, for London.
Buhari stated that he left Daura for London in order to be alone.
He added that visitors had flocked to see him while he was in his hometown of Daura.
Garba Shehu, Buhari’s former media aide, issued the following statement:
“He chose to go home in Daura in the hope of finding the type of quiet he desired for himself, but after discovering that this was not the case, with visitors pouring in morning, day, and night, he moved out to a more distant location.”
“It is still his wish that he be allowed to rest, and that the Tinubu administration be given the right environment to work on fulfilling the promises they made.”
Buhari returned to his hometown of Daura after his administration ended.
The president, on the other hand, had left Nigeria for London, where he met with President Bola Tinubu.
