On Sunday, three ISWAP terrorists were killed by troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force, North East Operation Hadin Kai, while they were imposing Zakkat levies on Maltari hamlet, near Kukareta in Yobe State.

The terrorists met their demise in a battle with the army, according to MISMOB’s reporting, after the troops received a report about the terrorists’ elements at approximately 4am on Sunday.

The troops were ordered to perform a special patrol in the area by the Yobe State Hunters group, according to reports.

Three terrorists were taken in and eventually naturalized.

The soldiers also found a motorcycle, two hand grenades, and two AK-47 rifles, each with a magazine holding sixteen rounds of 7.62MM special ammunition.

The terrorists that were neutralized were allegedly associated with the group that assaulted the forces’ position at Kukareta on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
