NiMet’s Thursday Abuja weather forecast called for moderate dust haze on Friday, with visibility down to 2 to 5 kilometers in the North and North Central States.

Horizontal visibility ranges of less than or equal to 1,000 meters are predicted to be confined in the states of Yobe, Borno, Jigawa, and Kano during the forecast period.

Morning clouds are expected along the coasts of the South, while the inland states will have a mix of cloud cover and sunshine.

Localized thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon across sections of Edo, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom Delta, Cross River, and Rivers States, but mostly sunny skies are expected throughout the interior states.

Throughout Saturday’s forecast, heavy dust haze was predicted for the northern states.

The agency expected moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility of 2 km to 5 km in the north-central part of the country throughout the forecast period.

The southern inland states were expected to have partly cloudy skies, while the coast was predicted to have a cloudy sky throughout the early hours of the forecast period.
