For Monday night’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho’s Likuena, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro arrived in Uyo with no trouble.
Peseiro and his three international helpers, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos, and Vitor Hugo, arrived at the stunning metropolis.
At Victor Attah International Airport, the four were greeted by Prince Bonny Nyong, chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee.
On Monday, the Super Eagles will start getting ready for the game.
Twenty-three players have been invited to camp by Peseiro for this game and the next day’s contest against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
On Thursday, the West Africans will host Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. Lesotho is coached by Leslie Notsi.
Zimbabwe will take on the three-time African champions in three days’ time at the Huye Stadium in Butare.
