On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu emphasized the need of a progressive and inclusive democracy in Nigeria, saying that the country’s youth must have access to work opportunities and that all children must have access to quality education in order to combat poverty.
During his meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) in Lagos on Thursday, Tinubu voiced his support for the creation of the National Institute of Progressive Studies.
According to the president, the institute’s job is to provide the party a voice, conduct thorough research, and teach party members about democracy and good administration.
Although our democratic system has had its share of problems, I am optimistic about our nation’s future. We can get it delivered.
My unwavering dedication is to the cause of a robust and ideologically-driven democracy that prioritizes the eradication of poverty and the provision of high-quality education for all its citizens.
“I applaud the leadership of our party for working hard to promote these essential ideals, and I am committed to collaborating with various government arms,” the president said.
