After only three months in office, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike claims to have saved the territory as much as N110 billion.

On Tuesday, at the FCDA Conference Hall in Abuja, Wike made this announcement to a group of Estate Developers and Residents’ Associations.

Speaking on the prudence he has maintained in the administration of finances as the FCT minister, Wike pointed out that the money will be tied to projects to accelerate their completion.

“Three months in office, I can tell you authoritatively, I have saved not less than N110 billion for the FCT and this money will be attached to projects so that people will see indeed that the taxes we are paying are being utilized for the interest of the people,” he stated.

The former governor of Rivers State went on to say that in the next month, buses and taxis would begin operating in the Federal Capital Territory.
