Former Kano State governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been called for questioning regarding the dollar tapes by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC).

The Daily Nigerian, an online website, published videos of Ganduje reportedly accepting kickbacks from contractors in 2017.

The former governor was seen collecting the dollars before rolling them inside his white gown in the videos.

Ganduje had refuted the accusation, claiming that the tapes had been doctored.

However, the chairman of PCACC, Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, stated that the authenticity of the tapes had been validated when speaking Wednesday at a one-day public forum on “Anti-Corruption Crusade in Kano.”

On Thursday, Rimingado announced that Ganduje had been summoned for questioning.
