Enemi Alabo, a lawmaker from Rivers State, has provided additional context for the recent departure of members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While appearing on Politics Today on Channels Television on Monday, Alabo made the remarks.
He said that the main reason for the defection was internal strife inside the PDP.
In addition to the intimidation and burning of the assembly chambers, Alabo said that the party’s leadership was unclear, which made things worse for the PDP members in Rivers State.
He was upset because he couldn’t get in touch with the party’s secretariat.
There is discord inside the PDP. Disputes involving our party’s secretariat are pending in court.
No matter how hard we tried, we were unable to get in touch with our party’s secretariat. “I am unable to disclose the identity of my party’s secretary at this time,” the legislator stated.
