Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo State, was just re-elected, and the CNPP, the conference of Nigeria’s political parties, has extended its congratulations.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Uzodinma and the All Progressives Congress (APC) winners of the governorship election in Imo State on November 11.
Uzodinma was declared the winner of the election by Prof. Abayomi Fashina, the State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti. His opponents came from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and the Action Alliance (AA).
We, therefore, congratulate the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodinma,” the CNPP said in a statement signed by its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, James Ezema.
“Politics is a numbers game, and in a competition of this type, there can be only one victor.
“We urge members of the public to maintain peace, and any aggrieved party or individual should explore legal options to seek redress,” the CNPP stated.
