Barcelona confirmed the signing of Inigo Martinez on Wednesday morning.
Martinez, 32, signed a two-year contract with Barcelona after leaving Athletic Bilbao.
Barcelona made the announcement on their website.
“An agreement has been reached between FC Barcelona and igo Martnez for the player to join the Club following the expiration of his contract with Athletic Club,” Barcelona said in part.
“The player is expected to sign a two-year contract that expires on June 30, 2025, with a 400 million euro release clause.”
Martinez joined Athletic Bilbao from Real Sociedad in 2018.
